三十而立，四十而不惑，五十而知天命
子曰く、吾れ十有五にして学に志ざす。三十にして立つ。四十にして惑わず。五十にして天命を知る。六十にして耳従う。七十にして心の欲する所に従って、矩を踰えず。（【论语】：“三十而立，四十而不惑，五十而知天命，六十而耳顺，七十而随心所欲”）自分は28歳から、北海道へ留学に来ました。中国医学の実践の場として、陶氏診療院開院時は35歳でした。40歳時は惑わないになるのは50歳近くになり、その時、友人から勧められ、本を書こうと原稿を書いていました。しかし、何か物足りなさを感じ、経済力もないから、本の出版までに至らないです。惑わないと惑うの間でしょう。今は56歳になり、原稿を読むと、本当に出版しなくて良かったです。
今なら、チァンスが有れば、本を書こうといいタイミングです。天命を知るまで言えないけど、以前西洋医学の10年以上の経験、二十数年診療院の中国医学の診察、両方の目線と実践から、命の理解が深まり、書いた本も人にいい影響になるでしょう。
もうすぐ60の耳従の歳になり、診療院の経営は息子に30歳時に渡して、自分はもっと診療と講演に専念したいです。息子が30歳に立つ形にして、私より、一歩孔子の言われた人生に近づくでしょう。
